Billycart Brewing Co

Billycart Brewing Co. is a locally owned brewery and taproom in Atherton, North Queensland, at 65 Tolga Road. Matt Bradford and Margaret Barker opened it in April 2022 after years of home brewing, travel, and a background in science. Beers are made in 1,000-litre batches on a Melbourne-designed brewhouse and served metres from where they are brewed, with a revolving core range plus seasonal styles aimed at the Tablelands climate. The taproom is built for a quick beer or a longer stay: table tennis, live music, and a community event space, with wine, cider, ginger beer, and non-alcoholic drinks alongside the taps. There is no kitchen; a food truck is on site most days, and outside food and drink are not allowed. Cans are available to take away, and the venue can be booked for functions.
