SA eBikes

SA eBikes is an award-winning active tourism business based in the McLaren Vale wine region, just 45 minutes south of Adelaide. Proudly operated by Active Whimsy Pty Ltd, we help visitors experience South Australia's premier wine region in a way that's active, accessible and unforgettable. Founded in 2019 by husband-and-wife team Shayne and Rachel, SA eBikes has grown from a small e-bike hire business into one of McLaren Vale's leading providers of cycling and e-TukTuk experiences. Our mission is simple: help people slow down, connect with the region and leave with stories they'll remember long after their holiday ends. Whether you're visiting for a day, a weekend or longer, we make exploring effortless. Choose from premium e-bike hire, guided and self-guided cycling experiences, e-TukTuk tours, accessible adventures and customised itineraries designed around your interests. With hire locations throughout McLaren Vale, including our seven-day hub at the McLaren Vale and Fleurieu Coast Visitor Centre, plus bike delivery to accommodation across the region, we make it easy to discover world-class wineries, spectacular coastlines, hidden gems and local favourites at your own pace. Everything we do is underpinned by a commitment to sustainability, accessibility and genuine local hospitality. From our 100% solar-charged fleet to partnerships with local businesses and conservation initiatives, we're passionate about helping visitors experience McLaren Vale while leaving the region better than we found it. We believe the best travel experiences combine movement, curiosity and a little whimsy. That's why we're continually developing new ways for people of all ages and abilities to experience McLaren Vale—creating memorable adventures that are as unique as the region itself.
