Bacchus Marsh BMX Club

Bacchus Marsh BMX Club is a friendly, family-oriented BMX racing club based at the Bacchus Marsh Racecourse Recreation Reserve in Maddingley, Victoria, welcoming riders of all ages and abilities into the fast-paced world of BMX. The club provides a supportive environment for riders to develop their skills, build confidence and experience BMX racing, whether they're taking their first laps around a race track or progressing into higher levels of competition. BMX racing is at the heart of the club, with regular opportunities for riders to practise their starts, develop their bike handling and experience the excitement of racing alongside riders of similar ages and abilities. Coaching and gate practice help riders develop the skills unique to BMX, from explosive starts and cornering through to jumping, pumping and navigating a race track efficiently. Newer riders can build their confidence progressively, while more experienced racers can continue refining their technique and race craft. The club caters for a broad BMX community, from young riders beginning their journey through Mini Wheelers and Sprockets to junior and adult racers, Cruiser riders and Masters competitors. This wide range of categories makes BMX a sport that riders can continue enjoying well beyond their junior years. For those curious about the sport, Come & Try opportunities provide an approachable introduction to BMX racing. Access to loan equipment at selected introductory activities can also help make it easier to experience the sport before committing to specialist BMX equipment. The club's home track provides a dedicated environment for training and competition and is maintained with the support of club volunteers. Outside scheduled club activities, the BMX track is also available for the wider community to enjoy, making it a valuable recreational cycling facility for Bacchus Marsh. For riders interested in competition, the club provides a pathway beyond local racing into interclub, State and National-level BMX events, allowing developing riders to test their skills against the wider BMX community. Like most grassroots BMX clubs, Bacchus Marsh is powered by riders, families, officials and volunteers who contribute to racing, coaching, track maintenance and club activities. This volunteer involvement helps create the friendly community atmosphere that sits behind the racing. Whether you're looking to introduce a child to BMX, improve your gate starts and riding skills, experience racing for the first time or become part of the local BMX community, Bacchus Marsh BMX Club provides a welcoming place to get involved.
