Beechworth Chain Gang

Beechworth Chain Gang (BCG) is the mountain bike club for Beechworth in Victoria’s High Country. Volunteers look after Beechworth Mountain Bike Park, the Beechworth loop of the Indigo Epic, and Flame Trees. The club runs social rides, rider development and a junior ride program, and hosts the odd race. Membership through AusCycling, choosing Beechworth Chain Gang, gives access to social rides, trail-building days and club merchandise. First-timers can use AusCycling’s four-week trial. The 2026 AGM was held after a social ride at Bridge Road Brewers, with a new 2026/27 committee elected. In August 2026 the club reported that construction had formally started on a toilet, storage and covered event space at the park. Junior sessions have been listed at the MTB park (Term 3 2026 example: Thursday 4:30–5:30pm), with AusCycling membership required. BCG is distinct from Alpine Cycling Club, Albury Wodonga Mountain Bikers and Wangaratta Cycling Club.
