BSX (Bicycle Supercross)

BSX (Bicycle Supercross) Inc. is a unique Victorian BMX club best known for bringing a stripped-back, head-to-head style of BMX racing to Pheasant Creek, Victoria. Rather than a traditional eight-rider BMX race, BSX puts riders against each other one-on-one on a purpose-built two-lane backyard track, where bike handling, precision and finesse can make all the difference. BSX has become particularly well known for its annual Bicycle Supercross charity event, which began in 2006 and has attracted thousands of BMX racers and dirt jumpers from across Australia and around the world. Riders compete through an elimination-style format, creating close racing that's as entertaining for spectators as it is challenging for those on the bike. There's a strong community purpose behind the racing too. The annual event raises money for the Royal Children's Hospital Foundation, with funds also having been raised for the Kinglake West Fire Brigade over the event's history. More than $90,000 has been raised for the Royal Children's Hospital Foundation through BSX events. While the annual event is a major part of its identity, BSX is also an affiliated cycling club, with riders representing BSX (Bicycle Supercross) Inc. at BMX and other cycling competitions, including national-level events.
