Cassowary Coast Multisport Club

Based around Mission Beach in Tropical North Queensland, the Cassowary Coast Multisport Club (CCMC) is a community-focused club bringing together riders, runners, swimmers, paddlers and adventure racers from across the Cassowary Coast. Founded in 2013, the club grew from a group of locals passionate about exploring the region through outdoor sport and has developed into an active hub for multisport events and recreation. For cyclists, CCMC supports both mountain biking and road riding, with regular social rides and events taking riders through areas including Mission Beach, Cardwell, Tully, Tully Gorge and the Misty Mountains. The club welcomes a mix of social and competitive participants and has a strong focus on encouraging people of different ages and abilities to get active outdoors. The club has played an important role in developing mountain biking locally, including establishing the South Mission Beach MTB Park and supporting the ongoing development of off-road riding opportunities throughout the region. Surrounded by tropical rainforest, beaches and rugged hinterland, the Cassowary Coast provides a pretty spectacular backdrop for riding, and CCMC continues to advocate for and contribute to the growth of local trails and outdoor recreation. CCMC also organises a range of community and competitive events, most notably the Ona Mission Multisport Adventure Race, which combines paddling, running and mountain biking around Mission Beach and Dunk Island. The club's events are designed to bring locals, visiting athletes and families together while showcasing the natural playground of the Cassowary Coast. RTS TIP: If you're heading to Mission Beach for a ride, keep an eye on the CCMC calendar. This isn't just a cycling club, so you may stumble across an adventure race, trail run or multisport event that gives you an entirely different way to explore the Cassowary Coast.
