Chelsea and Peninsula Cycling Club

Chelsea and Peninsula Cycling Club (CPCC) is a long-established cycling club based at the Edithvale Velodrome in Melbourne's south-east, serving riders from Chelsea, Edithvale and across the wider Mornington Peninsula. With a history stretching back more than 50 years, the club provides a welcoming community for riders interested in road and track cycling. The club calls the 500-metre outdoor Edithvale Velodrome home, particularly during the summer track season. With its gently banked turns, the velodrome provides a great environment for training and track riding and is also open to the wider cycling community outside organised club activities. During winter, the club's racing moves to venues including Casey Fields, Crib Point, Dromana and Frankston Gardens, giving members plenty of variety throughout the year. CPCC also participates in a regional combine racing system alongside other Melbourne cycling clubs, with opportunities to compete in track, criterium, road and time trial racing. The combine format gives developing riders valuable experience riding in larger bunches and exposes them to different courses, competitors and styles of racing, while still retaining the friendly social side of club cycling. Whether you're interested in track cycling, road racing, improving your skills or connecting with other riders around Melbourne's bayside and Mornington Peninsula, Chelsea and Peninsula Cycling Club is a great local cycling community to get involved with.
