About this club
Clarence Valley BMX Club is a family-friendly BMX racing club based at the corner of Vere and Abbott Streets in South Grafton, on the NSW North Coast. The club welcomes male and female riders across Mini Wheelers (ages 2–4), Sprockets (ages 5–7) and Open classes (8 through to 50+), grouped by age and experience. The South Grafton track has asphalted berms, a drum safety start gate and a reshaped start hill. Flood lighting allows the club to hold night events. The club races year-round across two six-month seasons, with breaks during school holidays. Joining the club gives riders insurance cover, bike-skills coaching and training, the chance to start from the gates, and a path into racing against other riders — competitively or socially. Families can take part in the same sport at the same place each week, and licensed riders can ride at most BMX tracks around Australia and contest major events if they wish. A full race calendar, practice updates and weekly racing details are published on the club’s Facebook page. In 2026 the club hosted Round 5 of the AusCycling BMX Racing State Series for ACT/NSW at the South Grafton track. Like most community BMX clubs, Clarence Valley is run by volunteers. New riders looking to try the sport can start through AusCycling membership, including the free trial where eligible. Whether you are lining up a Mini Wheeler for the first time or racing in Open class, Clarence Valley BMX Club is the local home of BMX in Grafton and the Clarence Valley.
