About this club
Cradle Coast Mountain Bike Club (CCMBC) is a passionate, volunteer-driven mountain bike club based in Penguin on Tasmania's North West Coast, established to develop and promote mountain biking throughout the region. The club manages both the Penguin Mountain Bike Park and the nearby Dial Range mountain bike network, with volunteers playing a huge role in building, maintaining and improving the local trails. The Penguin MTB Park sits just 2 km from the township and packs more than 6 km of cross-country singletrack into a compact network, along with jumps, wall rides, a dedicated skills park and features catering for different ability levels. From the park, riders can also head deeper into the Dial Range for longer and more challenging adventures, including the well-known Iron Tor and Montgomery Loop trails. CCMBC welcomes everyone from complete beginners through to seasoned racers, with a calendar that includes skills clinics, social rides, races, trail maintenance days and working bees. It's a club where you don't necessarily have to race — or even ride — to get involved, with volunteers forming an important part of the community and helping care for the trails everyone gets to enjoy. Membership directly supports the maintenance and development of the trails managed by the club, helping ensure the Penguin and Dial Range networks continue to grow as fantastic riding destinations for locals and visitors alike. Whether you're looking to explore the trails, join a social ride, race, improve your skills or get your hands dirty at a trail day, Cradle Coast Mountain Bike Club is a great way to become part of North West Tasmania's MTB community.
Primary trails: Penguin MTB Park / Dial Range and the Iron Tor / Tasmanian mtb trails
