Dulwich Hill Bicycle Club

Dulwich Hill Bicycle Club (DHBC) is an inclusive and friendly cycling club based in Sydney's Inner West, welcoming riders regardless of experience, ability, ambitions or the bike they ride. Formed in 1908, DHBC is one of Australia's oldest continuously operating bicycle clubs, with more than a century of cycling history behind it. There's plenty of variety within the club, with members involved in road, track, racing, gravel, mountain biking, bikepacking, tandem riding and vintage cycling. A busy weekly calendar offers everything from introductory bunch rides and longer weekend adventures to regular track sessions, women's rides and junior programs. For riders looking to try racing, DHBC has a long competitive tradition and supports participation in criteriums, road races, time trials, track racing and larger state and national events. The club is equally welcoming to riders who aren't interested in racing, with social riding, adventure and simply enjoying time on the bike remaining an important part of the club's identity. DHBC also has a proud place in Australian cycling history. Long-time member Lionel Cox won Olympic gold and silver at the 1952 Helsinki Games, while the club has a fascinating history of advocating for women's participation in competitive cycling. Whether you're looking to learn bunch riding, find regular riding mates, hit the velodrome, head off-road, try racing or simply become part of a passionate cycling community, Dulwich Hill Bicycle Club offers plenty of ways to ride your way.
