Frankston BMX Club

Frankston BMX Club – home of the Frankston Sharks – is a long-established BMX racing club based in Seaford, Victoria, welcoming riders of all ages, genders and abilities. Established in the early 1980s, the club has grown into a strong BMX community, with riders progressing from grassroots club racing through to State, Australian and World Championship level. Based at 101 Old Wells Road, Seaford, the club's dedicated BMX facility provides riders with an impressive place to learn, train and race. The track received a major upgrade completed in 2024, including a new track surface, safety fencing, LED sports lighting and accessible amenities, supporting both training and night racing. There's plenty happening throughout the season, with coaching, Wednesday gate nights and regular Friday night club racing. Coaching caters for beginner through to more experienced riders, while open gate sessions give members a chance to practise their starts and spend more time on the track. New riders are encouraged to give BMX a go, with riders ranging from young children through to adults over 60. The club also has loan bikes, helmets and gloves available, helping newcomers get started before investing in all their own equipment. Frankston has also established itself as an important Victorian BMX racing venue, hosting major events including rounds of the state series and the 2025 AusCycling BMX Racing Victorian State Championships. Whether you're introducing the kids to BMX, keen to try racing yourself or looking for a supportive club where you can develop your skills and compete, Frankston BMX Club is a great place to become part of Melbourne's bayside BMX community.
