Fraser Coast Mountain Bike Club

Fraser Coast Mountain Bike Club Inc. is a not-for-profit mountain bike club based around Hervey Bay and Toogoom on Queensland’s Fraser Coast, bringing together riders of all ages and abilities. From complete beginners finding their feet on the trails through to experienced mountain bikers looking for a faster session, the club has a strong focus on making MTB accessible, social and welcoming. The club’s home ground is the Toogoom Mountain Bike Trails in Vernon State Forest, around 19 kilometres north-west of Hervey Bay. The network was developed through a partnership between the club and Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service, with club volunteers contributing significant time and effort to its construction. The result is a sanctioned trail network through open eucalypt forest with riding suitable for beginners through to more experienced riders. Toogoom offers around 13 kilometres of green and blue trails, with flowing singletrack, berms, technical features and a skills area providing plenty of progression without requiring huge elevation. Riders can also venture further into Vernon State Forest, with links into the Takura Trail and additional forest riding opening up longer adventures beyond the main trail network. Beyond trail development, Fraser Coast MTB Club supports the local riding community through social and training rides, women’s riding, junior development, coaching and skills sessions. Come & Try opportunities and family-focused rides help introduce new riders to mountain biking, while the club’s ongoing trail work helps keep local riding opportunities growing for members, visitors and the wider community. Start on the easier trails and skills area if you're new to the network, then link in some of the faster trails or extend your ride deeper into Vernon State Forest.
