Goulburn Valley MTB Club

Goulburn Valley Mountain Bike Club (GVMTB) is a passionate mountain bike club serving Shepparton, Dookie and the wider Goulburn Valley region of Victoria, providing opportunities for riders to get involved across different styles of mountain biking. The club promotes the fun, safety and health benefits of MTB while helping grow a strong local riding community. A major focus for the club is Mount Major at Dookie, where GVMTB maintains the mountain bike trails and has helped develop the area into an important local riding and racing destination. The network offers a mix of cross-country and downhill riding, with everything from flowing trails through to steep, rocky and highly technical gravity terrain. GVMTB has a particularly strong gravity and junior riding community, with the club helping young riders develop their skills and progress into competition. Mount Major has hosted major events including the Victorian Downhill Series and Joyride Rookie Cup, bringing hundreds of riders from across Victoria and interstate to race in the Goulburn Valley. There's plenty happening outside major race weekends too, with the club running shuttle days, cross-country events, trail care and other riding opportunities. Volunteers are a huge part of making it all happen, with the club actively recognising and rewarding those who contribute their time to supporting the trails and wider MTB community. Whether you're looking to ride Mount Major, catch some shuttle laps, try XC, get into downhill racing, help care for the trails or simply connect with other mountain bikers, Goulburn Valley MTB Club is a great way to become part of the local MTB community.
