About this club
Harbour City BMX Club is a family-focused BMX racing club based at Sun Valley Park in Gladstone, Queensland. The club welcomes riders from young Mini Wheelers and Sprockets through to experienced racers, with regular club racing, training and opportunities for newcomers to try BMX. The purpose-built track features five straights, three corners, a pro straight and a UCI-compliant start hill, providing a progressive racing experience for riders of different ages and abilities. Harbour City has a strong racing community and regularly hosts major competitions, including rounds of the AusCycling Queensland BMX Racing State Series. The club’s modern track was extensively rebuilt in 2019 with improved drainage and weather-resistant surfacing, helping provide reliable riding conditions in Gladstone’s climate. RTS Tip: New to BMX? Keep an eye out for Harbour City’s Come & Try and sign-on sessions, where riders can meet the club, try the track and learn more about getting involved. The club has previously provided loan bikes and protective gear at introductory sessions, making it an easy way for kids and families to give BMX racing a go before committing.
