Hastings Valley MTB Club

Hastings Valley Mountain Bike Riders (HVMBR) is a volunteer-powered mountain bike club based around Port Macquarie on the NSW Mid North Coast. The club brings together riders from across the Hastings region while playing a major role in advocating for, developing and maintaining sustainable mountain bike trails for locals and visitors to enjoy. At the heart of the club is Jolly Nose Mountain Bike Park, around 20 minutes south of Port Macquarie within Queens Lake and Burrawan State Forests. Managed by HVMBR in partnership with Forestry Corporation of NSW, the park has grown into an impressive network of more than 40 kilometres and 60 individual trails, ranging from beginner-friendly green loops through to technical blue, black and double-black riding. There's plenty of variety packed into Jolly Nose, with cross-country, all-mountain and gravity-style riding across rocky terrain, forest and natural bushland. The network has become an established MTB destination on the Mid North Coast and has hosted everything from grassroots club activities to larger cross-country and gravity events. Trail stewardship is a huge part of what HVMBR does. Club volunteers contribute countless hours through dig days, trail construction and ongoing maintenance, while working with land managers to ensure the authorised network remains sustainable and accessible. The club actively encourages riders to get involved, with membership and community support helping fund and maintain the trails everyone gets to enjoy. RTS TIP: Don't just pass through Port Macquarie on the Pacific Highway with the bike still strapped to the car! Jolly Nose is only around 20 minutes out of town and has enough riding to keep you busy for hours.
