Hawkesbury Hornets BMX Club

Hawkesbury Hornets BMX Club is a friendly, family-focused BMX racing club based in McGraths Hill in Sydney's Hawkesbury region, providing riders young and old with a place to discover BMX, develop their skills and enjoy racing as part of a welcoming local community. The club's story dates back to 2001, when it began as a joint project between Hawkesbury City Council and local police to give young people in the area a safe place to ride their bikes, burn some energy and meet others with the same interests. More than two decades later, that community spirit remains a big part of the Hornets. Hawkesbury Hornets welcomes riders from as young as two years old, making BMX an option for the littlest riders through to juniors, adults and experienced racers. While the emphasis is firmly on fun, fitness and participation, Hornets riders have also achieved impressive results at State, National and World Championship level. There's plenty of opportunity to experience racing throughout the season, with the club running a busy program of regular BMX club rounds. The 2026 calendar includes more than 20 clubbies, giving riders plenty of track time and opportunities to build their confidence and race craft. Whether you're introducing a little rider to BMX, looking for a fun family sport, keen to try racing yourself or searching for a supportive local club, Hawkesbury Hornets BMX Club is a great place to become part of the Hawkesbury BMX community.
