Hills BMX Club

Hills BMX Club is a welcoming, family-friendly BMX racing club based at Ray Owen Sports Centre in Lesmurdie, Western Australia, in the beautiful Perth Hills. Established in 1980, the club has been part of the local community for more than four decades, providing a safe and supportive environment where riders can learn, race and enjoy BMX. The club caters for all ages and skill levels, from Mini Wheelers on balance bikes and young Sprockets through to intermediate riders and competitive racers. Whether you're completely new to BMX or working towards State and National competition, there's a place to ride and progress at Hills. Regular Wednesday night racing during school terms is at the heart of the club, with practice, dedicated Sprocket and Mini Wheeler sessions followed by racing. Riders can also access coaching with qualified club coaches to develop their bike handling, confidence and race skills. New riders are encouraged to come along and give BMX a go, with an AusCycling four-week free trial available for eligible newcomers. A limited number of bikes, helmets and gloves are also available to borrow, making it easier to experience BMX before investing in your own equipment. The club is 100% volunteer-run, with families and members contributing to race nights, events, the canteen and other activities that keep the club running. Hills BMX also provides a pathway beyond club racing into the WA State Series, State Championships and National Championships for riders wanting to take their racing further.
