About this club
Lifecycle Cycling Club is an inclusive cycling club based in Brisbane, Queensland, bringing together riders across road and track cycling, from juniors and newcomers through to experienced racers and para-athletes. The club proudly describes itself as Queensland’s most inclusive cycling club, with a strong emphasis on creating opportunities for people of different ages, abilities and disabilities to participate in cycling. Road and criterium racing are at the heart of the club, with Lifecycle regularly hosting graded criterium racing at the Albert Bishop Park Criterium Circuit in Nundah. Racing caters for a broad range of riders, with dedicated opportunities for women, juniors and para-cyclists alongside the regular graded fields. The club also has a strong tradition of road racing beyond the criterium circuit. Lifecycle hosts the long-running Lifecycle Classic, a handicap road race in the Brisbane Valley that brings riders of different grades together and has become an established part of Queensland's road cycling calendar. One of Lifecycle's defining features is its commitment to para-cycling. The club has developed a dedicated program supporting riders with varying abilities and disabilities and provides access to specialised equipment including tandems, handcycles and trikes. Para-athletes can participate in both integrated club racing and dedicated para racing, helping make competitive cycling accessible to a much broader range of riders. That inclusion extends naturally into the club's racing. Tandems can race alongside standard bicycles, while handcycles and trikes are accommodated through appropriate racing formats. The club has welcomed para-athletes from interstate and overseas and places a strong emphasis on making them part of the wider cycling community rather than treating para-cycling as a separate activity. Junior cycling is another important part of Lifecycle. Young riders are welcomed once they can confidently ride a bike, with skills training helping them develop bike handling, confidence and riding ability before progressing into racing if they choose. Junior racing is incorporated into club events, providing a pathway for children to experience competitive cycling in a supportive environment. The club also provides opportunities for social and recreational riding. Group rides cater for different levels of fitness and experience, giving members who aren't focused purely on racing another way to participate and connect with the club community. Social riding is also incorporated into the junior and para-cycling programs. Track cycling forms part of Lifecycle's broader cycling offering, with the club explicitly welcoming riders who want to ride or race both on the road and on the track. This multi-discipline approach gives members opportunities to explore different forms of cycling while remaining part of the same supportive club community. Lifecycle is also a club with a strong sense of community and social responsibility. Alongside its cycling activities, it has used racing to raise awareness and support causes including domestic and family violence services, demonstrating an ethos that extends beyond competition and into the broader Brisbane community. Whether you're looking to try cycling, get your child involved, join a social ride, experience criterium or road racing, discover track cycling, or find an inclusive cycling community with genuine opportunities for para-athletes, Lifecycle Cycling Club provides a welcoming place to ride, race and belong in Brisbane.
