Margaret River Off Road Cycling Association

Margaret River Off Road Cycling Association (MRORCA) is a not-for-profit, volunteer-powered mountain bike organisation based in Margaret River, Western Australia. Formed in October 2014 through the amalgamation of the Margaret River Off Road Cycling Club and Margaret River Cycle Club, MRORCA promotes off-road cycling for riders of all ages, abilities and disciplines while advocating for sustainable trail access throughout the region. Trail stewardship is a huge part of what MRORCA does. The club works closely with land managers including the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions, helping plan, establish and maintain the networks surrounding Margaret River. Membership directly contributes to the ongoing maintenance of more than 40 kilometres of riding trails, with volunteers playing an important role in keeping them running well. And there is plenty to ride. The Margaret River network includes areas such as Wooditjup, The Pines and The Creek, alongside the Wadandi Track and other riding throughout the region. Riders can find everything from approachable green trails through to flowing blue singletrack, technical rock gardens, jumps and challenging black-rated terrain — all within easy reach of Margaret River township. MRORCA is about more than maintaining trails too. The club supports social rides, kids coaching, club events and mountain bike racing, while working to ensure cycling remains an important part of Margaret River's recreation and tourism future. Just as importantly, the organisation promotes responsible riding and appreciation of the incredible natural environment the trails pass through. RTS TIP: Margaret River makes it ridiculously easy to turn a ride into a whole weekend away. Hit the trails straight from town, explore Wooditjup, The Pines and The Creek, then take advantage of everything else the region is famous for once the bikes are packed away.
