About this club

Northern Vets Cycling Club (NVCC) is a road racing club based around Launceston and northern Tasmania, providing friendly but competitive racing for masters cyclists. The club caters for men aged 35+ and women aged 30+, with a strong emphasis on safe racing, good competition and a supportive club atmosphere. NVCC runs around 26 club races each year, with courses across northern Tasmania including Carrick, Longford, Bishopsbourne, Whitemore and Hagley. Racing includes graded and handicap formats, along with feature events such as the Fingal, Quamby, Longford to Campbell Town and Blackwood Creek 70 races. Members also play an active role in running the club, with everyone encouraged to contribute through racing, volunteering and the club duty roster. RTS Tip: If you’re a masters rider looking for regular road racing in northern Tasmania, NVCC has one of the most active calendars in the region. You can nominate Northern Vets as your club through AusCycling, or riders who already hold an eligible race licence with another club can join NVCC separately. Check the club roster before heading along, as races are held across a variety of locations around Launceston and the surrounding countryside.
