Orange Mountain Bike Club

Orange Mountain Bike Club (OMBC) is at the heart of Orange’s growing mountain bike scene, maintaining and developing a network of trails across Lake Canobolas and Glenwood Forest in the Central West of NSW. The club caters for a wide range of riders, from beginners and juniors through to experienced XC, enduro and gravity riders. At Lake Canobolas, riders will find around 8km of connected cross-country singletrack, a skills area and jump track, with trails progressing from beginner-friendly loops through to more challenging terrain. The trails are built and maintained by OMBC in partnership with Orange City Council. For riders looking for something steeper and faster, Glenwood Forest provides the gravity and enduro side of Orange MTB. The network includes trails around Galinbundinya, with downhill and enduro options, and the club regularly runs gravity shuttle weekends and other events. Current trail access and closures should always be checked before riding, particularly given recent forestry operations in the area. But OMBC is more than a trail club. The club runs social rides, races, junior and family activities, gravity shuttles and regular trail maintenance days, with its volunteer Juice Crew playing a major role in keeping the network riding well. The club also runs opportunities for volunteers to become Trail Goats and help with maintenance outside scheduled dig days. Orange is also a great base for a cycling-focused weekend, with Lake Canobolas, the surrounding vineyards and villages, gravel routes and other riding opportunities all within reach of town. A Central West MTB destination with a bit of everything — approachable XC, jumps and skills areas, flowing forest trails, gravity riding and a genuinely active local club keeping the trails evolving.
