Portland Cycling Club

Portland Cycling Club is a regional Victorian road racing club based in Portland, in the state’s far south-west. The club runs open handicap racing for juniors through to Elite and Masters on country roads around Gorae West. The 2026 EntryBoss calendar includes the Five Ways Challenge (May) and the Chris Eichler Memorial Gorae Classic (October), with a women’s handicap also listed later in the year. Registration for these events is at Gorae West CFA Hall, on the corner of Heath Road and Portland Nelson Road. Junior races (J11/13 and J15/17) start before the senior handicap. Male and female riders race in the same event. Participants need a valid AusCycling All Discipline or event-day membership. Entries are through EntryBoss. Presentations are held in the CFA Hall after the senior race. The club is volunteer-run. Membership and licences are through AusCycling. Portland Cycling Club is the road-racing club for Portland and the Glenelg region — distinct from Portland BMX Club, which is already listed on Ride the State.
