Red Center BMX Club

Red Centre BMX Club is a welcoming BMX racing club based at Blatherskite Park in Alice Springs, with more than 40 years of history in the Red Centre. The club caters for riders from Mini Wheelers on balance bikes through to juniors, adults and experienced racers, with a strong focus on making BMX accessible to the whole family. Its purpose-built track has been developed to a high racing standard and hosts club racing as well as major Northern Territory BMX competitions. The club runs regular coaching, gate sessions and Friday night racing, with training groups designed to help riders progress from basic bike handling and cornering through to jumping, manuals and racecraft. New riders are encouraged to come and try, with BMX race bikes and full-face helmets available to borrow, making it easy to experience the sport before investing in your own equipment. RTS Tip: If you’re new to BMX, Red Centre BMX is a great place to give racing a try. Grab an AusCycling 4-week trial membership and head along to a training night — the club has loan bikes and helmets available. For existing BMX riders visiting Alice Springs, the track can also be hired during selected daylight hours outside regular club activities.
