Sunshine Coast BMX Club

Sunshine Coast BMX Club is an active BMX racing club based in Yandina on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, providing riders and families with opportunities to discover BMX, develop their skills and get involved in competitive racing. The club's home is at 8 North Street, Yandina, where its BMX track – affectionately known by the local riding community as the “Bush Track” – provides a dedicated facility for coaching, gate practice and racing. Sunshine Coast BMX caters for riders at different stages of their BMX journey, with beginner coaching through to intermediate and advanced sessions helping riders build confidence, improve bike handling and develop their race skills. Regular open gate sessions give licensed riders additional opportunities to practise starts and get valuable track time. The club is firmly connected to the broader Queensland BMX racing community, with riders travelling to events throughout the state while Yandina provides a home base for local training and competition. For those with bigger racing ambitions, there's a pathway well beyond club competition. Sunshine Coast BMX riders compete at state, national and international level, with club riders Mikael Carter and Huntah Robinson competing at the 2026 UCI BMX Racing World Championships. Behind the racing is a community of riders, families, coaches, officials and volunteers who help keep club activities running and provide a welcoming environment for both established racers and newcomers discovering the sport.
