Tamworth Mountain Bikers

Tamworth Mountain Bikers (TAMMTB) is a welcoming regional mountain bike club bringing together riders of all ages and abilities in Tamworth and the surrounding New England region. Formed in 2010, the club was established to help develop mountain biking locally and create what has become one of the region's key riding destinations — Tamworth Mountain Bike Park. The club is responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of the park, which officially opened in 2014 following years of work by club members with support from local businesses and Tamworth Regional Council. Today the park offers a varied network designed to cater for everyone from kids and first-time riders through to experienced cross-country and technical riders. There's plenty of variety to explore, with easy green trails such as Yellow Brick Road, Hillside and Southpark, intermediate options including Creekline, Secret Valley, Goanna Crawl, Skyline and North Hill, and challenging black trails including Pha Pha Pindari. There's also a dedicated kids track and pump track, making the park a great destination for families as well as experienced riders looking for a challenge. A number of trails also include specific adaptive off-road handcycle accessibility information. TAMMTB isn't just about the trails. The club hosts regular social rides and racing, with opportunities ranging from juniors and recreational riders through to competitive racers. Its popular Twilight Racing Series includes dedicated Dirtmasters categories for riders under 13 and Gravity Groms for younger riders finding their feet on balance bikes and first pedals.
