Weipa BMX Club

Weipa BMX Club is the BMX racing club in Weipa on western Cape York. It is one of the town’s established sporting clubs and races at the Rocky Point BMX track. The club runs local racing through the dry season, with a 2026 club series listed on Sqorz (including Term 3 race nights). Classes typically span Mini Wheelers through junior age groups. Come-and-try sessions and a four-week trial are how new riders are invited onto the track when the season is running. Cape York’s wet season can close the track for remediation, so racing dates follow the weather. Club officials publish current practice and race details through the club’s Sqorz organisation page and local channels. Weipa BMX is a volunteer community club.
