About this club
Westside BMX Club is a family BMX racing club at the corner of Vasto Place and Balcatta Road, Balcatta, in Perth’s inner north. OpenStreetMap maps the circuit as a BMX track on Balcatta Road. The club has been racing at Balcatta since 1979. New members can sign up through the year at the nominations hut. Friday racing is the regular club night: Mini Wheelers from 6:00pm, open practice from 6:30pm, and racing from 7:30pm, with nominations closing at 7:00pm. All riders need a current AusCycling licence to take part. In 2026 Westside hosted Round 1 of the AusCycling BMX Racing State Series — WA on 31 January at the Balcatta track, covering Mini Wheelers, Sprockets, Challenge, Cruiser, Junior Superclass, Superclass and Masters. Membership and race licences are through AusCycling. The club is volunteer-run. There is no first-party club website opened for this card; race entries for the 2026 state round were on EntryBoss. Westside BMX Club is the Balcatta BMX club — distinct from Victoria’s Westside Cycling Club, which is already listed on Ride the State.
