Wynyard BMX Club

Wyndham Warriors BMX Club is a family-friendly BMX racing club based in Hoppers Crossing in Melbourne's west, welcoming riders from young Mini Wheelers taking their first laps through to adults and experienced racers. Founded in 2005, the club has grown alongside the Wyndham community and provides opportunities for everyone from complete beginners through to pro-level competitors. The Warriors call the Wyndham BMX Track at 115 Derrimut Road, Hoppers Crossing home. Located within the Heathdale Glen Orden Wetlands area, the purpose-built BMX facility provides a mix of jumps, rollers, berms and fast straights where riders can develop their bike handling, jumping, pumping, cornering and race skills. There's plenty of opportunity to improve, with regular practice and structured coaching throughout the week. The club has a team of accredited coaches offering group and private sessions, while Wednesday evening and Saturday morning practice provides additional track time for members. New riders are actively encouraged to give BMX a go. Come & Try opportunities provide an easy introduction to the sport, with riders able to experience the track and build some confidence before deciding whether racing is for them. BMX caters for a huge range of ages and abilities, so kids, parents and adult riders can all become part of the same club. For those ready to race, Wyndham runs its own club racing series, with categories including Mini Wheelers, Sprockets, Novice and age-group racing through to adult and experienced competitors. Riders can then progress into interclub, Victorian State Series and higher-level competition. The Warriors also have experience hosting major racing, with Wyndham home to the 2017 Victorian BMX State Championships. Continued investment in the facility is planned too, with Wyndham City allocating $100,000 towards BMX track surface upgrades in 2026/27. Outside official club training, coaching, racing and other activities, the Wyndham BMX Track is open for public riding, making it a valuable place for the wider community to ride and develop their skills as well as being the Warriors' racing home. Whether you're looking to get the kids into BMX, try racing yourself, improve your skills or progress towards higher-level competition, Wyndham Warriors BMX Club offers a welcoming place to become part of the BMX community in Melbourne's west.
