Indigo Epic Trail

Connecting the historic towns of Beechworth and Yackandandah in Victoria’s High Country, the Indigo Epic Trail is a purpose-built mountain bike adventure designed to be ridden as one big journey or explored in smaller sections. Around 56 km in length, the trail winds through native forest and rugged High Country terrain, combining flowing singletrack, sustained climbs, fast descents and plenty of natural features along the way. With trail networks and rider-friendly towns at either end, it’s much more than a point-to-point ride — stay overnight, organise a shuttle or make it part of a bigger Beechworth and Yackandandah MTB trip. RTS Tip: Make a weekend of it. Ride the Indigo Epic in one direction, organise a shuttle or overnight stay, and leave some time to explore the local Beechworth and Yackandandah trails too. It’s a substantial ride, so carry enough water, food, tools and spares for a few hours on the bike and check current trail conditions before setting out.
