About this ride
METEC is a closed-road driver training complex at 112 Colchester Road, Bayswater North, used by Eastern Cycling Club (and other Melbourne clubs) as a traffic-free criterium venue. METEC’s own site describes approximately 25 acres and 5 km of private closed roads with intersections, roundabouts and traffic lights. It is not a public cycle park — access for racing is by club booking / facility hire. Eastern Cycling Club publishes four METEC criterium courses: Course 1 and 2 at 1.21 km (anti-clockwise and clockwise), Course 3 at 1.43 km and Course 4 at 1.39 km, each with only a few metres of elevation. 2026 EntryBoss fixtures list graded scratch races at METEC for masters riders. Lat/lng are left blank: no OpenStreetMap feature named METEC or a mapped crit start pin was found; the complex is a large private road network, not a single trailhead. Use the Colchester Road entrance published by METEC.
