About this ride

Whian Whian Mountain Biking Trails are a named NSW National Parks cycling network in Whian Whian State Conservation Area and Nightcap National Park, in the Byron Bay hinterland on the NSW North Coast. NPWS describes a 46 km network of dirt roads, fire trails and paths through rainforest, with six trails ranging from about 4 km up to 19 km. NPWS says the multi-use trails are shared with bushwalkers and horse riders, and that there is something for all ages and experience levels, including shorter 1 to 2 hour family loops from Telephone Road trailer carpark (with a short detour to Quondong Falls) and longer rides from Rummery Park campground. Advanced riders can tackle a 4 to 5 hour one-way ride via Peates Mountain Road toward Rocky Creek Dam. A trail map sign is installed at Telephone Road trailer carpark. Check park alerts before you go.
