The Ride the State Team is a national crew of riders from every corner of Australia who love being on the bike and want to be part of something bigger. You don't need to race. Whether you're chasing podiums, riding your local loop every weekend or just getting into it, there's a spot for you in the kit, wherever you ride.
Joining fee: $199
This covers the cost of your kit. We're not trying to make money from the team, just to get more riders out there flying the flag.
Your team pack includes:
- Ride the State team jersey
- Podium T-shirt
- Water bottle
- Sticker and marketing pack
What we ask of you
- If you race: share your results and a pic from race day.
- If you don't race: share one photo a month of you out riding in the kit.
- How to share: post on your own socials and tag @ridethestate with #ridethestate so we can find and reshare it. No socials? No worries. Just email your photo and a short write-up to support@ridethestate.com.au and we'll share it for you.
- Wear it with pride: you're representing Ride the State whenever you're in the jersey, so ride and act with respect for other riders, trail users and the brand.
Earn Ride Rewards
Team members earn bonus Ride Rewards points for their posts. The best way to rack up points is to share your personal sign-up link, because you earn points every time a rider joins Ride the State through it.
You can use your points to:
- Grab more Ride the State merch
- Convert them into support for your local club
- Put them towards listing fees, if you have a business you'd like to promote on the hub
Team life
- A monthly team newsletter with who's racing where across the country, plus team news
- A private Facebook group just for team members, so you can connect with riders near you and organise meet-ups and group rides
- We'll help get things started and share what's on, but any rides or meet-ups organised in the group are run by members themselves (see below)
Custom kits for clubs and businesses
Want your club or sponsor on the jersey? We can add club or business logos to your team kit, as long as they're happy to be on it. There's no minimum order, and we'll send a mock-up first so you can see exactly how it looks before anything's printed.

Check the sizing chart below before you order. Kits usually take 4 to 6 weeks to arrive.
FAQ
Do I have to race? No. Racers and social riders are equally welcome. If you're not racing, just share a monthly riding pic in the kit.
Where is the team based? Everywhere. It's an Australia-wide team, so you can join from any state or territory.
Do I have to be a certain level? Not at all. All ages and abilities are welcome.
What does the $199 cover? Your full team pack: jersey, podium T-shirt, water bottle, and sticker and marketing pack. It's set to cover kit costs, not to make a profit.
What if I'm not on social media? Email your photo and write-up to support@ridethestate.com.au and we'll share it for you.
Are race entries included? No. You enter races yourself, and we'll share what the team is entering in the monthly newsletter.
Is insurance included? No. We recommend AusCycling membership (or similar cover) if you ride in group rides or races.
Who runs the group rides? Members. Ride the State helps connect team members and share what's on, but meet-ups and group rides arranged through the team Facebook group are organised and attended by members at their own risk. Ride the State doesn't organise, lead or supervise these rides and isn't responsible for them. Ride within your ability, wear an approved helmet and follow local road and trail rules.
How long does the kit take? Usually 4 to 6 weeks from order.
Can my club or business get its own version of the kit? Yes, with no minimum order. We'll mock it up with your logos first and finalise it once everyone's happy.
