The Witchipoo 100 Loop
About this ride
The Witchipoo 100 Loop is a challenging 102 km mountain bike adventure through the forests and backroads of the Margaret River region. Combining gravel fire trails, flowing singletrack and rugged bush tracks, this route is ideal for experienced riders looking for a full-day endurance ride. With around 650 metres of climbing, the loop delivers a rewarding mix of fast gravel sections, technical singletrack, log crossings and remote forest riding. Expect a few navigation challenges along the way, along with the occasional gate or fence crossing that adds to the route's adventurous feel. Water and supplies are available in Witchcliffe (around the 10 km and 90 km marks) and Karridale near the halfway point, making it possible to complete the loop without carrying all your water from the start. As this is a remote bush ride, riders should be self-sufficient, carry navigation, food and repair equipment, and be prepared for natural trail obstacles including fallen logs. Snakes are common during warmer months, so it's recommended to make plenty of noise when approaching overgrown sections to encourage wildlife to move away before you arrive. The Witchipoo 100 Loop offers a true backcountry riding experience, rewarding adventurous riders with diverse terrain, beautiful forests and a real sense of exploration.
