About this club
Armidale Cycling Club is a road racing club based in Armidale, on the Northern Tablelands of New South Wales. The club runs club races through the year for all levels and takes part in interclub, state and national road racing. Club racing is held almost every Saturday. Juniors race at the criterium circuit at the old Driver Education Centre at the eastern end of Mann Street. Seniors alternate between the track and road racing on Dangarsleigh Road or Long Swamp Road. During daylight saving, racing starts at 4:00pm; outside daylight saving it starts at 2:00pm. You must be a club member or hold a current racing licence from another club. Visiting riders are welcome but must bring their licence — no licence, no race. In 2026 the club’s calendar includes criteriums and the Road Rider of the Year (RROTY) series, with entries through Buncheur. The person rostered on duty each weekend acts as race marshal and does not ride. If you cannot do the job, you find a replacement. Membership is through AusCycling. The club’s about page still invites people to turn up on race day and talk to the committee. Armidale Cycling Club is the New England road-racing club.
