About this club
Footscray Cycling Club (FCC) is a western-Melbourne road and criterium club with a long racing tradition. The club runs a road season on country circuits and criteriums at the Victoria University (VU) skills circuit at Hoppers Crossing, and takes part in the Quad Series with Ballarat Sebastopol, Geelong and Colac. The 2026 road season included memorial events, the FCC Tour (the 66th edition in 2026) and Quad Series rounds. Criterium racing uses the VU circuit, entered via Gate 5 beside the athletics track; cars are not allowed onto the circuit. Graded racing typically covers A–D. Every road-season rider is expected to complete one marshalling duty. Weeknight criterium planning for 2026/27 has been a live club discussion, with members surveyed on Wednesday versus Thursday evenings at VU. Saturday VU crits continue in the calendar when weather allows. The club is volunteer-run — officials, marshals and committee make the racing happen. Membership and licences are through AusCycling. Entries are on EntryBoss. Whether you are a Footscray local, a west-side crit racer or lining up for country-road handicaps, FCC is a working club with a full racing program.
