Gravity Enduro South Australia

Gravity Enduro South Australia (GESA) is an AusCycling-affiliated mountain bike club dedicated to growing gravity enduro racing across Adelaide and South Australia. The club has built a thriving enduro community around one simple idea: racing should be challenging, but it should also be fun. Whether you're chasing the top step of the podium or simply keen to spend a day riding bikes with good people, GESA provides a pathway into gravity racing for a wide range of riders. GESA runs the South Australian Gravity Enduro Series, taking racing to different MTB destinations around the state. Recent rounds have included Fox Creek, Kersbrook and Mount Gambier, giving riders the chance to experience very different terrain throughout a season. The enduro format combines multiple timed descending stages with untimed liaison stages, rewarding riders who can put together speed, fitness, technical ability and consistency across an entire day. One of the best things about GESA is that you don't need to be an experienced racer to have a crack. Dedicated Novice categories are designed to take some of the pressure out of that first race, with newcomers able to race their first Novice event for free. From there, categories span juniors through to Open, Elite, Masters and e-bike racing, giving riders plenty of room to progress as their skills and confidence grow. The club also works with other parts of the South Australian MTB community, including collaborations with Gravity Girls SA and Inside Line MTB Club, helping create more opportunities for riders to experience racing and different gravity disciplines. Volunteers are a huge part of making each GESA round happen, with opportunities to get involved even if you're not lining up between the tape yourself. RTS TIP: Never raced enduro? GESA is a pretty good place to change that. The Novice category is specifically designed for newcomers and your first Novice race can even be free — so pick a round, grab some mates and have a crack. You might arrive worried about racing and leave wondering why you didn't try it sooner.
