Ipswich Offroad Cyclists

Ipswich Offroad Cyclists (IOCC) is an inclusive mountain bike club based in the Ipswich region of South East Queensland, bringing together juniors and adults of all ages and abilities. Whether you're completely new to mountain biking, looking for a social crew or keen to develop your skills and get into racing, the club offers plenty of ways to get involved. The club's main local riding bases are Walloon and Castle Hill at Blackstone Reserve, with members also regularly exploring destinations throughout South East Queensland. Social and training rides can take the crew everywhere from Hiddenvale and Mount Crosby to Daisy Hill, Gap Creek and Kooralbyn, while longer adventures often make use of the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail and surrounding gravel roads. IOCC has a strong cross-country racing community and is the lead club behind the Wild West Summer XCO Series, working alongside other clubs across South East Queensland. The series is designed to cater for everyone from children and first-time racers through to experienced and elite riders, with shorter or adapted courses available for developing categories. The club also runs a Winter XCO Series. There's plenty happening away from racing too, with social rides, training rides, skills development, trail work and volunteering all part of club life. Members can simply enjoy riding with like-minded people or take advantage of opportunities to progress towards bigger competitive goals. The club even operates a member sponsorship program to help eligible riders pursue major national, international or development events. Castle Hill itself is a standout local riding destination, with more than 15 IMBA-rated MTB trails ranging from easy through to very difficult. It's particularly well known for its technical singletrack and provides a great home base for a club with riders spanning such a broad range of abilities.
