Marconi Cycling Club

Marconi Cycling Club is a welcoming road cycling club based in Western Sydney, providing opportunities for riders of different ages and abilities to experience competitive cycling in a supportive club environment. From juniors and riders taking their first steps into racing through to experienced competitors, the club has a strong focus on accessible, graded road racing and rider development. The club’s racing is centred around the Eastern Creek motorsport precinct, including Sydney Motorsport Park and Sydney Dragway. Closed-road venues such as these provide an excellent environment for cycling competition, allowing riders to experience fast bunch racing without the traffic normally associated with racing on public roads. Graded racing is at the heart of Marconi Cycling Club. Riders are divided into different grades according to their ability and experience, allowing newer competitors to begin at an appropriate level while stronger and more experienced cyclists can enjoy faster, more tactical racing. This makes the club approachable for cyclists who are curious about racing but may not yet feel ready to enter larger open events. Junior cycling and rider development are also important parts of the club. Marconi provides a dedicated junior racing category and has a specific junior development role within its club structure, giving younger cyclists opportunities to develop their skills and confidence while becoming familiar with organised racing. Marconi riders have represented the club in AusCycling competition across different age categories, including Masters and national club-level events.
