About this club

North Western Sydney Cycling Club (NWSCC) is an inclusive road cycling club based around Rouse Hill and Sydney’s north-west, bringing together social riders, developing cyclists and racers. The club describes itself as a group of cyclists who like riding bikes together — roadies, mountain bikers, track riders, triathletes, families, commuters and weekend warriors. The club was founded in January 2015 by riders exploring the hills and gorges of north-west Sydney, and was ratified by Cycling Australia. Its values are inclusivity, a supportive and safe approach to riding, a genuine club feel, and a commitment to making cycling accessible. Saturday open club rides are the heart of the social program. In the warmer months they start from Capital Place, Rouse Hill at 6:15am (6:30am in winter) and finish at Vanilla Cream Café on Annangrove Road. You do not need to be a member to ride, though the club encourages people to join after a few visits; non-members sign a liability waiver. Graded bunches run from a no-drop 24s group for new riders through 26s, 28s and 30s, plus a faster 34+ group. The club has an active racing membership who train and race together in the club’s orange, charcoal and green kit. Members race across grades on the CNSW calendar, with support from club coaches and mentors. NWSCC partners with Onebody for skills courses covering group riding, descending, climbing and sprinting, and attends Tuesday and Thursday sessions at Parramatta Park with the 6:15am training bunch. There is also a smaller group of track and MTB riders. In 2026 the club is the promoter of the Odd Spoke Cup, a graded criterium at Sydney Motorsport Park, Eastern Creek. Membership is through AusCycling. Whether you want a Saturday bunch, skills coaching or a race number, NWSCC is a north-west Sydney club built around riding together.
