Anna Meares Velodrome

The Anna Meares Velodrome at the Sleeman Sports Complex in Chandler is Queensland’s premier indoor track cycling venue and one of Australia’s leading velodromes. Named after Olympic champion Anna Meares, the venue features an international competition-standard 250m timber track and was the first velodrome in the world to feature full LED broadcast-quality lighting. Built for elite competition but accessible to the wider cycling community through organised sessions, the velodrome hosts racing, training, coaching and major cycling events, making it a bucket-list venue for anyone keen to experience the speed and steep banking of a world-class indoor track. RTS Tip: You can’t simply turn up and ride the track, but you don’t need to be an elite track cyclist either. Public Come & Try sessions are available, along with accreditation and open training sessions for riders wanting to progress.
