Bannockburn Bike Park

Bannockburn Bike Park is a new public bike facility at Victoria Park Active Recreation Precinct in Bannockburn, in Golden Plains Shire between Geelong and Ballarat. Geelong Times (July 2026) reports the $1.2 million park officially opened, with Golden Plains Shire Mayor Owen Sharkey and Geelong MP Christine Couzens attending the opening. Coverage describes three tracks catering for riders of all skill levels - beginners to advanced - with LED lighting, jumps, berms and other technical features, plus shaded rest areas, seating, connecting paths, a bike repair station, drinking fountain and additional parking. Golden Plains Shire's project page lists a beginners' skill development track, an LED-lit intermediate race-style asphalt pump track, and an advanced jump line, funded by the Victorian Government's Regional Community Sports Infrastructure Fund and Council.
