Baranduda Bike Path

The Baranduda Loop is an easy, mostly shared-path ride connecting Wodonga with the growing community of Baranduda in North East Victoria. Following Wodonga’s extensive cycling network away from the city, it’s a relaxed way to explore the southern side of town while linking parks, residential areas, community facilities and surrounding bushland. The designated Baranduda route is approximately 13.6 kilometres, using a combination of shared pathways and on-road sections. It provides direct cycling access between Wodonga and Baranduda, passing local schools and connecting with the community and recreation reserve, including the skate park. The relatively gentle terrain makes it well suited to recreational riders, families and anyone looking for an easier spin rather than a technical ride. One of the best things about Baranduda is how easily it connects into a much bigger network. Riders can link with the Bandiana Link, White Box routes and High Country Rail Trail, opening the door to everything from a short local loop to a much longer day exploring Wodonga, Lake Hume and the surrounding countryside. Wodonga itself has more than 80 kilometres of bike and walking paths, so there are plenty of options for extending the adventure. For riders wanting to explore rather than simply follow one route, the wider Baranduda area also offers connections towards Castle Creek, Yarralumla and the surrounding hills and reserves, giving you plenty of scope to mix up the distance and create your own ride. RTS TIP: Baranduda is a great "choose your own adventure" ride. Keep it short and cruise the local loop, or use it as the starting point for a bigger day by linking into Wodonga's pathway network and the High Country Rail Trail.
