Barwon River Trail
About this ride
Barwon River Trail is City of Greater Geelong's named sealed shared cycling and walking network following the Barwon River between Fyansford and South Geelong. Council's official page states the trail consists of more than 20 kilometres of sealed paths and provides a continuous pedestrian and cycling network through scenery on both banks of the river, linking parks, playgrounds, golf courses, a waterbird sanctuary, a waterfall and wetlands. The southern path is described from the car park above Buckley Falls along Queens Park golf course toward Barwon Valley Park; the northern path runs through Fyansford common to Balyang Sanctuary and on toward the boatsheds, John Landy Athletic Field and Breakwater Road. Distinct from the live Belmont Crit Circuit on Belmont Common and from Fyansford Rail Trail.
