Brisbane International Cycle Park
About this ride
Brisbane International Cycle Park is a purpose-built wheeled-sports precinct at Murarrie Recreation Reserve, 1238 Wynnum Road, Murarrie, in Brisbane’s east. It is not Ipswich Cycle Park (already in last night’s verified CSV). OpenStreetMap maps a named sports_centre relation “Brisbane International Cycle Park” and named cycling-track ways in the reserve. Balmoral Cycling Club is based at the reserve and describes a brand-new 1.4 km crit track at the Brisbane International Cycle Park, with weekly criterium racing and a junior development program for U9–U17. COX Architecture’s project page describes a road cycling course and international-level criterium track, a 500 m inline skating track, clubhouse and viewing mounds on the 34-hectare reserve. Coverage of the opening said cyclists and skaters of all ages and skill levels can use the destination. This is a public cycling park as well as Balmoral’s race venue. Confirm club racing times if you want a clear lap.
