Bungarra MTB Park
About this ride
Bungarra MTB Park – Jindabyne Bungarra Alpine Centre is a privately operated mountain bike network just outside Jindabyne in the NSW Snowy Mountains, set across around 80 hectares of bushland. With approximately 20km of professionally built MTB trails plus four skills areas, it’s a particularly good place for riders to build confidence and progress their technical skills. The network caters for beginner, intermediate and advanced riders, with trails graded green, blue and black. Expect everything from relatively easy, flatter singletrack suitable for families and newer riders through to technical switchbacks, rock gardens and more challenging natural features. One of Bungarra’s strengths is its progression-focused layout. The four dedicated skills areas allow riders to practise technique before heading onto the trails, making it a useful destination for newer mountain bikers, juniors and anyone wanting to sharpen their bike handling. The venue is also used for organised MTB instruction and school programs. Unlike many of the public trails around Jindabyne, Bungarra is on private property and access is controlled. Published visitor information indicates that the trails are available to Bungarra guests, Jindabyne MTB Club members and members of the public with a trail pass, so riders should confirm current access arrangements before heading out. Its location makes it easy to include in a bigger Snowy Mountains riding trip. Bungarra is only a few minutes from Jindabyne, putting riders close to the wider Jindabyne trail network, Thredbo Valley Track and the region’s growing collection of MTB destinations. For riders searching for Bungarra MTB, Jindabyne mountain bike trails, Snowy Mountains MTB, beginner MTB near Jindabyne or MTB skills parks in NSW, Bungarra is a great option — especially for riders looking to progress rather than simply chase kilometres. RTS Tip: Bungarra is not a free public MTB park, so don’t simply arrive assuming the trails are open for unrestricted riding. Check current trail-pass and access arrangements before visiting. If you’re still developing your skills, make use of the skills areas first — Bungarra is one of those places where you can start comfortably and gradually work your way onto the harder trails.
