Cliff Drive Scenic Loop

The Cliff Drive Scenic Loop is a picturesque mountain road ride linking the historic mountain villages of Leura and Katoomba. Following the escarpment for much of the route, this ride visits many of the Blue Mountains most iconic lookouts, offering sweeping views across the Jamison Valley, sandstone cliffs and world heritage wilderness. Start: Leura Station Distance: Approximately 18-22km return Grade: Easy to Moderate Bike Type: Road bike, gravel bike, hybrid or mountain bike Route: - Leura Station - Leura Mall - Cliff Drive - Leura Cascades - Echo Point and the Three Sisters - Katoomba Falls - Scenic World - Hilda's Lookout - Cahill's Lookout - Narrow Neck Lookout - Return via Katoomba Street and local roads back to Leura Highlights: This ride showcases some of the Blue Mountains most famous scenery. Ride through Leura Cascades before continuing along Cliff Drive, where numerous lookouts offer uninterrupted views across the Jamison Valley. Visit Echo Point and the Three Sisters, take in the dramatic cliffs surrounding Katoomba Falls, and enjoy panoramic vistas from Cahill's Lookout and Narrow Neck Lookout. The route offers countless opportunities to stop for photos, coffee, or a short walk to explore the escarpment. Gravel and MTB Option For riders seeking a longer adventure, continue from Cliff Drive onto Narrow Neck Road and follow the Narrow Neck Fire Trail (See Ride card for Narrow Neck). This spectacular ridge-top trail extends deep into the national park with breathtaking views on both sides of the escarpment. Ride as far as your fitness and time allow before returning the same way to rejoin the Cliff Drive loop. Narrow Neck is widely regarded as one of the premier gravel and mountain bike rides in the upper Blue Mountains, combining accessible riding with some of the region's most impressive scenery.
