Conder Enduro
About this ride
The Conder Enduro combines the fast-flowing Gospers Ridge Fire Trail descent with one of the most challenging enduro trails in the Blue Mountains region. Delivering approximately 550 metres of elevation loss over 9 kilometres, this ride starts in Mountain Lagoon, climbing via Sams Way to reach Gospers Ridge Fire Trail before dropping into the legendary Conder descent. While some riders choose to self-shuttle from the finish at Upper Colo Fire Station back to Mountain Lagoon, this route is presented as a loop ride. Upon reaching the fire station, turn right and follow the road towards Comleroy Road. From here, it's a long and winding climb to Mountain Lagoon Road, followed by the final ascent back to Mountain Lagoon. The descent begins on Gospers Ridge Fire Trail, a fast and flowing trail featuring high-speed corners, numerous water bars and only a handful of short climbing sections. Eventually, the route narrows into the 4.4km singletrack, beginning as a heavily overgrown bush trail before opening onto a steep, rocky ridgeline descent. The singletrack is highly technical, with loose rock, exposed sandstone, tight turns and challenging line choices throughout. The trail is not maintained and can be overgrown in sections, with fallen trees occasionally blocking the route. Riders should be prepared for changing trail conditions and carry the equipment required for a self-supported ride in a remote area. There are no facilities and this is an extremely remote ride
