Coombabah Lakelands Conservation Area
About this ride
Coombabah Lakelands Conservation Area covers more than 1,200 hectares of wetland, eucalypt forest, salt marsh and mangroves on the northern Gold Coast, with over 16 km of flat, signposted trails. The riding is easy gravel fire road and sandy double track, with loops like the Jabiru and Wallaby circuits and the raised Melaleuca boardwalk, which makes it a great place to get kids riding off-road. Look out for kangaroos in the grasslands and koalas in the trees. Gates are open 6am to 6pm daily, and there's parking off Lakelands Drive via Pine Ridge Road. There are no toilets or drinking water inside, so bring your own. Some low-lying trails flood after heavy rain, and dogs are not allowed.
