About this ride

The Narooma to Dalmeny Cycleway is one of the South Coast's most scenic shared paths, offering around 21km of coastal riding between two beautiful seaside towns. Following the shoreline of Wagonga Inlet, the Pacific Ocean and Mummaga Lake, this ride combines spectacular ocean views, abundant wildlife and plenty of great places to stop along the way. Starting in Narooma, riders can fuel up at one of the many cafés, bakeries or seafood restaurants before setting off. Be sure to visit the iconic Australia Rock on the southern breakwater and cruise across the stunning Mill Bay Boardwalk, where it's common to spot stingrays, fish and even Australian fur seals in the crystal-clear water below. The mostly sealed shared pathway continues north through Kianga, passing scenic beaches and headlands with breathtaking coastal lookouts. During the annual whale migration, keep an eye on the ocean—you may be lucky enough to spot humpback whales cruising offshore. The ride finishes at Dalmeny, where you'll find cafés, beaches and the Dalmeny Sports Club, making it the perfect place to relax before returning to Narooma or continuing your South Coast adventure. Suitable for riders of all ages and abilities, the Narooma to Dalmeny Cycleway is an ideal family ride or a leisurely way to experience one of New South Wales' most spectacular stretches of coastline. It's a must-do stop for anyone exploring the South Coast with their bike.
