Diamond Creek Trail
About this ride
Diamond Creek Trail is Nillumbik Shire's named off-road sealed shared-use trail connecting Eltham, Diamond Creek, Wattle Glen and Hurstbridge in Melbourne's north-east. Council's official page states the trail is approximately 17.3 km long, relatively flat along Diamond Creek, and shared by pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders. Council notes the path is even and easily navigated by all ages, with picnic and BBQ areas, accessible parking and sanitary facilities at Eltham Lower Park, and a southern link across the Yarra to the Main Yarra Trail. The northern end starts behind the Hurstbridge Community Hub at Graysharps Road. Check Nillumbik's page for temporary night closures (deer-control works listed for selected 2026 dates).
